Frog Pond Pots

About Frog Pond Pots

My husband and I have had the great fortune to have lived on the edge of a large pond in northwestern Michigan for almost 20 years.  The plant and animal life in and around the pond is ever-changing and simply awesome.  We get a variety of migrating birds as well as several species that just visit for the summer.  We have lots and lots of frogs, from peepers to tree frogs to bullfrogs, and snakes, turtles,  dragonflies, herons, cranes, kingfishers and woodpeckers, to name a few.  We also have many varieties of trees, lily pads, cattails and other wild grasses.  We often see deer, turkeys, ducks, geese, coyotes, and ruby-throated hummingbirds.

I’ve been making pottery for several years.  I take my inspiration from what I see around me.  Lucky for me, I have a never-ending array of subjects from which to choose, thanks to our lovely pond.  Let me share it with you.
